It was a busy weekend as five county finals were decided, with Padraigh Scanlon, Cathal O’Sullivan, Billy Healy, Cathal Creedon and Michael A. Cronin among the big winners. James O’Donovan booked his King of the Roads semi-final place after a strong Mick Barry Cup victory over Gary Daly and Aidan Murphy at Ballincurrig. County finals moved closer to the semi-final stage with standout wins for Hurley, O’Brien, Scanlon, Creedon, Coughlan, Minihane and O’Donovan. Chris O’Donovan claimed the Vintage title, while Murphy and Dempsey won the Tim White memorial cup scores. Further victories went to James O’Donovan, Daly, Aidan Murphy, McDonagh and Denise Murphy in cup and qualifier action.
